The Imperfect Me!

I’ll often get busy in searching myself
That I will forget to ask you,
“Did you find yourself, yet?”
Then, will you still love me?

I’ll have a whole lot love concealed in me
Just for you,
But expression will get in the way.
Cause I don’t like dates,
And valentine gifts are just not me.
Then, will you still love me?

And in this era of technology
I don’t want these temporary What’sApp statuses,
And Insta stories,
To define our love.
Then will you still love me?

Maybe we will not be able to meet for months,
My calls will often be short,
And we will never have moments of late night chats,
Then will you still love me?

Sometimes your thoughts will get on my nerves, too easily,
And I will choose my silence to express it.
Then will you still love me?

Maybe, I will wish you too late on your birthdays,
Your favorite festivals may not be my favorite ones.

Then will you still love me?

Will you still love me

With all the imperfection in me?

What if?

What if?
The love laws were not defined by,
You or me.

What if?
The mere incident of seeing you,
Would have never occurred.

What if?
The incident would have never
turned into an interaction,
And an interaction into an action.
Action of embrace, care, love, affection.

And somewhere, I feel,
If those what ifs would have never occurred, I would have never happened to be me.
